Iran Becomes Member of POC

TEHRAN Islamic Republic of Iran's Post Company was elected as a member of Postal Operations Council (POC) at the 21st. Congress of Universal Postal Union (UPU) in Beijing. In addition to membership to POC, Iran was also elected by majority of votes as deputy head of the UPU's Markets and Services Commission. Coordinating executive measures, inspection and revising the postal fees, boosting training issues in the developing countries are among the responsibilities of the commission.
The Postal Operations Council and the Council of Administration are the permanent bodies of the Universal Postal Union.
